With the ongoing uncertainties around the COVID Pandemic, the BITUG Committee has decided to cancel the face-to-face BIG SIG event we usually host in December.
Instead, we have decided to host a virtual event which we are calling “Bite Sized eBITUG”. We are aiming this towards the European NonStop community.
This will consist of approx. 3 hours of Presentations spread across 3 x afternoons (in UK) in December.
The dates are: Thursday 2nd Dec, Tuesday 7th Dec and Thursday 9th Dec
It is FREE FOR ALL to attend and will be run using Zoom sessions.
We are fortunate to have a number of HPE Corporate presentations for our European colleagues who perhaps never caught some of the latest updates from TBC, as well as presentations from our Vendor members. We also have a couple of Customer presentations in the agenda, so something for everyone we hope.
Other user Group partners will hold own updates during our AGM on Thursday 2nd December. e.g. GTUG
You NEED to register in order for the Zoom invite to be emailed to you.
You MUST also register for each afternoon session that you would like to join - so if you want to attend all 3 x afternoons, you need 3 x registrations!
The following is the latest Agenda (as at 16/11/21):

Title: SecurityOne Suite for Zero Trust Security
Presenter: Steve Tcherchian, XYPRO
Synopsis: What is “Zero Trust” Security, anyway?
Traditional security relies on a “trust but verify” model. Once authenticated and granted access, users are trusted within the enterprise network. This “trust” leaves the network vulnerable to malicious insiders and compromised accounts.
Zero trust is a “never trust, always verify” strategy, rather than a technology. Instead of assuming connections within the corporate network are trusted and secure, zero trust verifies every request to every asset, no matter where it originates from. All access is constantly monitored, authenticated, and authorized, regardless of if the connection attempt is from within the enterprise or outside.
Steve Tcherchian , Chief Product Officer at XYPRO Technology explains what the Zero Trust model is and how you can use it to reduce your organization’s vulnerability footprint.
