Welcome to Dublin!
Dublin is a city that feels as intimate as a village and as welcoming as an Irish pub. Nestled between mountains, centered on a river, and bordered by a stunning bay, its streets and alleys are alive with vibrant art, historic buildings, trendy cafes, and traditional "old man" pubs. As you stroll through Dublin, you will sense the energy of over 1,000 years of history, where echoes of the Viking past mingle with the buzz of modern boutiques. The cobbled streets resonate with the melodies of buskers.
Dublin is a social hub with culture, creativity, and craic (fun). This spirit is evident in its bustling pubs, lively nightlife, music, and friendly conversations. Yet, this ancient gem also boasts natural beauty. Venture beyond the city, and you can discover Dublin Bay, coastal walks, charming villages, expansive sea views, and rugged mountain landscapes; the natural splendor is never far away.
Dublin's "Silicon Docks" has become a major tech hub, attracting global giants like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft and successful startups such as Stripe and Intercom. Its strategic location between the US and Europe, a highly skilled workforce from top universities, and supportive government policies with low corporate taxes have fostered this growth. This combination of history, community, and technology makes Dublin the perfect host city for E-BITUG 2025.
